Sprinkler Day

To help make sprinkler days enjoyable for everyone (children, parents AND teachers), please send your child to the Center on Tuesdays and Thursdays:
- dressed in a bathing suit and sneakers or water shoes [no open toe shoes!],
- protected with sunscreen,
- with a tote bag packed with a complete change of clothes, including shoes!
As you might imagine, it can be quite hectic when 12, 18 or 24 children are changing from their bathing suits to their clothes after sprinkling! You can help make this a little easier for us and for your child by packing his/her towel and change of clothes [shirt, pants, underwear, shoes, socks] together in the bag. Your child will have everything needed in one handy place and can use the bag to bring home the wet bathing suit and water shoes. We still recommend that every item is marked with your child’s name, but we find using the tote bag helps reduce the number of missing things!
The R-LDCC bag each child received at enrollment would be perfect; remember, no plastic bags at day care! Your cooperation is most appreciated!
Helpful hint: If Tuesday or Wednesday is not your regular laundry day, you may wish to have two sets of “swim things,” one for Tuesday and one for Thursday.
